Gran Duque D\u2019Alba was first launched in 1945 and named for the Great Duke of Alba, Fernando Alvarez de Toledo y Pimentel. Gran Duque D\u2019Alba Oro uses Airen and Palomino Brandies that are aged for an average of 25 years through the unique Solera system in sherry-infused American oak casks. Old mahogany with ebony highlights. Serve in a brandy snifter neat or over ice. Excellent for special occasions. Aromas of vanilla & maraschino cherry with notes of fig, prune, and dark chocolate on the palate. A lavishly complex palate with a long, creamy finish.

Bodegas Williams & Humbert has utilized the solera system of aging, not only their sherries, but also in aging one of the oldest and most refined Brandy de Jerez lines, Gran Duque D'Alba .Gran Duque D'Alba is named for Fernando Alvarez de Toledo y Pimentel, the Grand Duke of Alba. First bottled in 1945, Gran Duque D'Alba is made from juice of Palomino and Airen grapes that are fermented and then distilled in pot stills. After distillation the spirit is aged utilizing the traditional solera method creating three marques.Gran Duque D'Alba Oro is the oldest of the brandy aged by Solera method at 25 years.Color : Old mahogany with ebony highlights.Nose : Intense nose with notes of vanilla.Taste : Lavishly complex with a velvety, long, creamy finish.
